ARTICLE IN THE EVENING HERALD 25/2/10.
« on: February 26, 2010, 02:57:27 AM »
Hi Guy's.
Did anyone read the article in the Herald on page 28 titled Ghost-Hunt Woman in tears after night at eerie gaol. It's about a team of investigators who spent the night on an investigation and talks about their experiences and also refers to cell 13. Slightly dramatised by the reporter I would say. Regards.Mick.

Heard about the article, haven't had a chance to read it yet. The gaol isn't that bad at all, the woman must be easily frighted if she was in tears. I'll get a copy of the paper and read it in a bit.

Just gave it a read...

I would like to know if she was one of these 'Professional Investigators' or a tag along!

Nothing more dangerous than someone freaked out and doing the 100 yard dash in an old building!!

I know some people who would literaly have a heart attack and die if they heard creaky floor board! Hence why we have such a strict interview policy here! :P

Spirits can also communicate with us  this way. She may not have been scared at all. If a spirit gets close enough to your energy field then they can make you feel emotions. I have had this happen to me myself. I have suddenly felt totally  grief stricken and felt like crying on investigations and it hasnt been through being scared as I have been doing this for a while. Ive also had anger imposed on me and mirth. Its very strange when it happens because it comes on suddenly and it confuses you with your own emotions.
I alwasy put it down to the spirit mixing its energy with yours.

For me the use of a K-2 contradicts the terms ''Professional investigators''

Hi Tracey,

What would you do to try protect yourself from spirit invasion?

Or is it even possible to proctect oneself from such?

Hi Mark,

Yes there have been mixed reports about using K-2's but IMO when your waiting for something to happen usually in the cold its better to be watching lights flash then be bored sheetless! :)

One gizmo dosent prove or disprove anything but when they all 'go off' together at the momement something happens it deserves a few extra experiments! :)

Graham.

tried out the new emf meter that i got today at home upstairs and it would have to go off just as the wife walked in to the bedroom - she freaked out - she said is there a ghost in the house. It was classic. Very funny.

Hi Guys,

From our experiments on it so for we find it useless. I know Mr Parsons will support this claim.
If your gonna measure 'emf' then I would aim for a tri-field meter as they are much more balanced. I suppose it also raises the next question of why are we actually measuring 'emf' anyway.....
The experiments we have done has shown us that to may things trigger the lights.

I have to agree with Mark on the K-2 meter. I've had this discussion with a few people and anyone that has used one says that they are notoriously dodgey, they can be set of by numberous everyday things like mobile phones.

I understand that Adam but if we are doing either lone or small group vigils then we could leave our phones elsewhere while we carry them out - It's a piece of equipment that is still some what experimental and the same could be said of EMF meters as the one I received today and which is only new on the market picked up on my wife's mobile phone. As you know I am only new to paranormal investigating and I have the utmost respect for guys like Mark who have been doing this for years but we need to give any piece of equipment we use the benefit of the doubt until we can disprove otherwise. Before I joined the group the number of experiences I have had over the years happened without the benefit of equipment was around and for my own interest in the paranormal I want to use any piece of equipment that may or may not prove - proffe positive. :-\ :-\
