The Near Death Experience
« on: February 23, 2010, 11:49:23 PM »
Hi
I am new to the forum. I am living in Blanchardstown, Dublin and working as a counsellor.

I am currently studying for a Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychology, which did involve some study of parapsychology.

I am doing a thesis on the affect of near death experiences on Irish people. I am desperately seeking subjects. So , if you know anyone who had such an experience and is willing to take part in a study, where identity is protected, please let me know.
Kevin

Hi Kevin, that sounds very interesting and I will be sure to put out the word among the paranormal community and hopefully there will be a few people who would be interested.

Thanks, Graham and Michelle.
Got the book, called the guy. Very cagey about passing on his sources or recommending them do a study. Disappointing  :(.
Thanks anyway.

The next step would be putting an add in the paper!

Or you could see if you could induce an NDE but not sure what legal / Medical red tape you would have to jump through first!

Or you could get a few people lined up who know little or nothing about NDE's or dying and put them through a Past Life Regression and focus on the dying process and then compare!

Hi Graham
Yes, an ad in the paper is a good idea.

Inducing an NDE: I think you have been watching "Flatliners"! Would you like me to use you as a subject?!
No, the ethics would preclude this. My project has been approved as is, I can't easily change it at this stage.

The Regression idea has been well researched and documented by Dr Michael Newton in his excellent and fascinating books: Journey of Souls, Destiny of Souls and Life Between Lives: Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression, so it's been done before, though probably not in Ireland.

Thanks for your support

Any NDErs out there?
Kevin

Hi Mick,

Was it the process itself that you didnt like?,

or did you have a bad experience of a past life you had?

Graham.

wont get in to it here Graham - The psychologist was a fool to be honest and it had nothing to do with past life experiences and they where not pleasant. I would sooner let Kevin flatline me than go through that again.

I spoke to a nurse last night that died after an asthma attack . The ambos said she was gone to her family. They got her back and first thing i asked was what did she see.
She said nothing. She said she remember strugglign for breath and knowing her mother and father were there but she said she then remembered nothing until she woke up in intensive care on life support.

Induced near death experience?..............I'll pass on that one lol
