Great investigation!

A lot of interesting things happening and some awesome evidence captured and analysed on the night!

The one downside for me was the amount of people there and the noise outside the ballroom when people were coming and going.  Maybe a sign on the door next time when people are doing EVP sessions / Vigils might be the way to go.

I will be analysing the audio tomorrow and will let the relevant people know what I find.

Welcome to the site Dave, glad to hear you enjoyed the investigation. Thats the problem unfortunately when you have a big group on an investigation, you really want a small group so you can control the environment as much as possible.

Definitely agree on the idea of a smaller group.

Maybe a small talk on voice levels and noise before the investigation would be a good idea.  While I can understand people may be quite giddy / relieved on their back from an EVP session in a dungeon, it is very frustrating when you need silence.

Would love to head back to Charleville with a group of 6 or 7.

Hi Dave. I agree with you and I have to say that Charleville Castle was a real eye opener and what about those EVP'S and the vigils we did. I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to going back. Mick.

Unfortunately the noise level was way too high in the castle, but most of it was from people not involved in the investigation.  While I was monitoring the cameras I tried to do some EVP's in that room and was disturbed several times.   :(

Its very hard on open investigations to keep people quiet as they can get over excited if it's their first investigation.   A smaller group is great but with Charleville costing so much we needed to spread the cost for everyone by bringing a bigger group.

We hope to have some more investigations soon with a much smaller group, and hopefully in a warmer environment.  ;)

Hi Michelle. I agree it was a bit noisy but all the same we did manage to pick up some very good EVP'S and as David was isolating them a short while ago you can clearly make them out and that includes footsteps heard in the ballroom when I was on a lone vigil for a few minutes and also at the start of the seance there is a load bang and then a strong male voice and then back in the ballroom with 4 of us sitting in there for a while and 2 clear male voices can be heard. We had a lot of cold spots and temperature drops a number of times - so an excellent investigation in spite of the amount of people noise and thank you very much as it was mine and Davids 2nd investigation and a lot etter than our 1st one in Wicklow Jail due to the amount of activity at Charleville. And Hi Dave I hope your EVP'S are as good as mine. Best Regards. Mick.
